We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support successful project delivery through accurate client billing, project financial tracking, and collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely client invoices in partnership with Project Managers
• Review job costs and billing inputs to ensure alignment with project scope, budgets, and progress
• Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, matching, and resolving discrepancies
• Review project financials to identify anomalies and improvement opportunities
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready project accounting records
• Support project and business decisions through organized financial reporting
• Collaborate with Project Managers and accounting team members to improve workflows and systems
• Assist with administrative support tasks related to HR and marketing as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project accounting, construction accounting, or related field
• Experience preparing invoices tied to job costs, change orders, and project schedules
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with job cost reporting, WIP, and project closeout processes
• Experience with accounting/project management software such as Sage 300, Sage Intacct, Procore, and Microsoft Office tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Construction, architecture, or design-build industry experience preferred
